About Us

Introduction:  The Yosemite Alpine Community Services District, YACSD is an independent special district that serves the properties located within the boundaries of the Yosemite Alpine Village subdivision.  It was established in 1969 when the subdivision papers were filed with Mariposa County.

There are 46 lots within YACSD, with homes currently on 35 of the properties.  YACSD provides water, road maintenance and snow removal on the district roads within the boundaries of the district.  Two homes are currently under construction.

The water is tested monthly for bacteriological contamination. The water is tested annually for nitrate contamination and triennially for nitrite contamination.  YACSD has passed the water quality tests in all three areas for many years.  YACSD is overseen by the California Regional Water Quality Control Board – Drinking Water Division, which monitors water quality and offers technical support.

YACSD is run by a 5 member board of directors who are elected by the registered voters within the boundaries of the District.  The board meets quarterly during the year to handle district business.  The meetings are usually held at the Tenaya Lodge in Fish Camp on a Saturday morning and are open to the public.  These meetings are publicly noticed and the agenda is posted in the Fish Camp Post Office and on the website.

Fiscal Year:  YACSD runs on a Fiscal Year from July 1 through June 30 of the following year.

Budget:   YACSD works under a 2-year budget cycle.

Webcam Info:  There is a webcam that shows a view of the meadow behind the post office.  This helps keep track of the weather in Fish Camp.  The Tenaya Lodge also has a webcam of their property.

Communication:  The YACSD Communication is sent out following each meeting letting the property owners know what is happening within the District.
